As with many businesses, FitHire has two distinct customer groups, Commercial and Domestic. To add to this, however they also have both a hire and buy option to offer the client. The decision was made to review the branding and also the sales process completely, defining a customer journey which made the most of FitHire’s core strength - they are subject matter experts.
Giving the customer the benefit of expertise…
The new website was built on Squarespace and the previous eCommerce strategy was reviewed completely. The ability for the customer to buy directly off the page was totally removed and in place we designed a tailored catalogue enabling them to see and compare products easily and then to add them to an enquiry wish list. This not only enabled the customer to identify some of the products that they wanted, but it also then gave the FitHire team the information they needed in order to be able to service the customer more completely.
The customer was then contacted automatically via email with a follow up call where the FitHire team could improve on the product selection with their expert knowledge and cement the customer relationship over the phone.
Enquiries are now passed through to a custom built enquiry platform (built on Google’s Cloud Platform), from where invoices, delivery notes, order confirmations can all be created. The FitHire team can add value through their product knowledge and customer contact to ensure each customer is treated as an individual and not just sold the next cheapest item on the catalogue.
